IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!

Well, I now have five entires posted on the blog I do for Chicago Now.  The URL to find it quickly is www.chicagonow.com/south-shoreline.  I hope that if anyone reads this blog, you will also read my Chicago Now blog.  I am concentrating on trying to show that the South side of Chicago is not as bad as people think it is and talk about good things going on here.  I did unfortunately have to mention that someone was killed a block away from me and the person was not even the intended target.  He was a Mexican immigrant trying to earn money for his family still in Mexico who worked at a meat counter in one of the local stores.

That led me to blog about after school programs which are trying to keep kids out of gangs and give them safe activities because the shooting was a gang related drive by.  And Pastor told us a 14-year-old boy was caught after he tried to steal copper from the air conditioning unit of the church,  The boy already has a record, but as a juvenile there is not much they can do with him.
