Many years ago, God showed me that words I was using in talking to myself and Him were hindering me from doing His will. He told me what they were; why they were causing me problems and what I should say instead. I will share these with you one at a time and I would appreciate any feedback you would like to give me or examples of your own experience with such words.
“I feel” Feelings are fickle and changeable. To say I feel enables one to change their mind later when one doesn’t feel the same anymore. God wants us to understand His will, not feel it.
Ephesians 5:17 “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of God is.”
If we don’t have the wisdom we need, He promises to give it to us if we ask Him.
James 1:5 says, ” If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
