This will not be a long entry. I have no writing news to report about. I have not even written in my journal for two mornings now. I often used to do a late night writing if I missed a morning one, but since I mostly do these blogs very late, that has replaced those writings. Today I had to go downtown to rehearse for our play and after that, four of us from the chorus met and went to the picnic together.
It was raining in the morning, but the rain had stopped by the time we left to go to Carol’s house. It was still cloudy most of the day, but the sun did come out a little late in the afternoon and the chorus members cheered. We had a very good spread of foods, tuna, chicken, potato and fruit salads vegetable trays, egg rolls, rice roll ups and a few other items and lots of desserts. Hamburgers and hot dogs were cooked on a grill by Carol’s son.
After eating, we had our sing along. Then a couple of those who sang in the last RC talent show were asked to sing their songs for us. Some of the chorus members had not seen the talent show but had heard about how good some of the singers were. A couple of those who were in the talent show have joined the chorus. We had a nice time, and while some left earlier, we all left at about 6:00 pm.
